Backing up on the same network
A permanently connected NAS is encrypted by the same ransomware as the servers it protects. Without an offline copy, your backup falls with everything else. A tape ejected from its library is the only copy no attack can reach.
Never testing the restore
Many companies discover, on the day of the incident, that the backup was incomplete or corrupted. A backup only really exists once you have successfully used it. Every one of our installations ends with a real restore, timed and documented.
Undersizing from the start
A solution calibrated to the bare minimum is saturated within eighteen months. We size against your real volumes and their growth, with hardware that scales: extra slots, additional drives, future LTO generations.
Frequently asked questions
Isn't tape backup outdated?
Quite the opposite: tape is making a strong comeback in large organisations, precisely because of ransomware. An LTO-9 cartridge holds up to 18 TB native, lasts around 30 years, costs far less per terabyte than disk — and above all, once out of the library, it is physically unreachable. The cloud giants themselves archive to tape.
Do you sell Veeam licences?
We work with your existing Veeam licence, or support you in acquiring one. Our value lies in design, integration and operations: making the software, the hardware and your business constraints work together, and proving it through restore tests.
Do you really come on site in Tunisia?
Yes. Physical installation, Fibre Channel connection, configuration and acceptance all happen at your premises, with our team, anywhere in Tunisia. Post-production follow-up can then be remote or on site, depending on the contract.
Is my current infrastructure compatible?
That is what the initial audit is for. We check your servers, your connectivity (Fibre Channel, SAS), your Windows Server and Veeam versions, your hypervisors — and we confirm in writing, in our proposal, that every piece of proposed equipment is compatible with what you have, part numbers included.
Can I keep using my existing cartridges?
Often, yes. Modern libraries accept several LTO drive generations at once: you keep reading your existing archives while writing new backups to the latest generation. We design the configuration around your current media estate.
How much does it cost?
It depends on volume, the number of drives, warranty options (3 or 5 years) and the level of support you want. We provide a detailed quote, line by line and excluding tax, with the exact part number of every item and real delivery times for Tunisia — enough to compare calmly.
