Custom applications

Custom software and business applications

Many companies bend their organisation to fit an off-the-shelf product, then end up patching it with spreadsheets and workarounds. Custom software takes the problem the other way round: the tool follows the way you work. We start by understanding your real processes — not the ones in the procedures manual.

What we build

CRM & sales management

Lead tracking, quotes, follow-ups and invoicing, with the fields and stages that genuinely match your sales cycle.

Internal tools & dashboards

Replacing the shared Excel files that no longer hold up: scheduling, stock, production tracking, consolidated and up-to-date indicators.

Client portals & extranets

Give your customers or partners a space to view their documents, track their orders and file their requests — fewer emails, more traceability.

Integrations & data migration

Connection to your existing tools through APIs and recovery of your history. A new tool that starts from a blank page is no use to anyone.

This service is for you if…

  • A shared Excel file runs part of your business, and nobody dares touch it.
  • The same information is entered two or three times in different tools.
  • You have an off-the-shelf product, but your teams work around it with side spreadsheets.
  • Your data is scattered and you can't produce a reliable indicator.
  • A key person leaves and takes the knowledge of a process with them.

Even one of these ringing true is already a good reason to talk — the discovery call is free.

What's included

  • Analysis of your processes before any technical proposal
  • Mockups and architecture approved with you
  • Development in stages, with regular releases
  • Migration of your existing data
  • Role and access-rights management
  • Documentation and training for your teams
  • Code and database that belong to you

Indicative timeline

Allow 6 to 12 weeks depending on scope. We deliver in stages so you can use a first useful version before the project ends.

The mistakes that cost dearly

What we see most often on the projects we're asked to take over.

Trying to cover the whole business at once

The projects that fail are almost always the ones that aimed to replace the entire information system in one go. Splitting into deliverable modules puts a first useful tool in your teams' hands within weeks, and funds the rest on visible results.

Describing the dream tool instead of the real problem

A specification that says “we need a button here” locks in a solution before the question has been asked. Describing what's stuck today — how much time lost, at which step, by whom — leaves room for answers that are often simpler and cheaper.

Ignoring the people who will use it

A tool designed with management alone is a tool the field will work around. The people who will enter data every day must be consulted during design, not discover the application on the day it goes live.

Frequently asked questions

Why custom software rather than an off-the-shelf product?

An off-the-shelf product is often the right choice when your need is standard — accounting, payroll, office work. Custom is justified when your way of working is a competitive advantage, when no tool covers your case, or when licence costs eventually exceed those of development. We'll tell you frankly if an existing tool will do.

What happens to my historical data?

It comes across. Migrating your files or your old tool is part of the project: we analyse your data, clean it with you and import it before go-live.

What if my needs change in six months?

That's expected. We build in stages precisely so the tool can grow. Later changes are quoted separately, or included in long-term support.

How much does custom software cost?

The quote is free and with no commitment. The budget depends on the number of processes covered, the volume of data to migrate and the integrations required. Splitting into stages lets you spread the investment and stop at any point with a tool that already works.

What happens if we stop working together?

You get everything back: source code, database, documentation and credentials. We organise the handover with the team or provider of your choice. It's a working principle here, not a favour negotiated at the end of a contract.
