Support & maintenance

Maintenance and support for your site or application

A delivered site isn't a finished site. Browsers change, security flaws come out, needs evolve. Maintenance keeps your tool in working order and gives you a named point of contact when something goes wrong — rather than a form that never gets answered.

What we build

Security updates

Applying patches to the components of your site or application, before a known flaw is exploited.

Bug fixing

A bug is reported, qualified and then fixed. You're kept informed of progress without having to chase.

Ticket and phone support

A clear channel for your requests, with a history you can consult. For emergencies, the phone stays open.

Small changes

Adding a page, changing a form, updating content: routine requests are handled as they come without a new quote each time.

This service is for you if…

  • Your site hasn't had an update in more than six months.
  • Your previous provider no longer answers, or has ceased trading.
  • You no longer dare change your site for fear of breaking something.
  • Your site or application is essential to your day-to-day business.
  • You have nobody in-house to follow the technical side.

Even one of these ringing true is already a good reason to talk — the discovery call is free.

The mistakes that cost dearly

What we see most often on the projects we're asked to take over.

Waiting for the breakdown

Corrective maintenance always costs more than preventive maintenance. A security patch applied in time takes a few minutes; the same site compromised means several days of work, a restoration, and sometimes being dropped by Google while it's cleaned up.

Confusing hosting with maintenance

Paying a host doesn't mean someone is looking after your site. The host maintains the server; nobody updates your site, watches your forms or fixes your bugs. These are two different services, and the absence of the second only shows on the day there's a problem.

Not knowing who holds the credentials

Domain name, hosting, source code, store accounts: it regularly happens that a company owns none of its own credentials. Check before you need them — it's what determines your freedom to change provider.

Frequently asked questions

What exactly does maintenance cover?

Security updates, bug fixing, monitoring and small content changes. New development — a feature that didn't exist — is quoted separately, so you always know what you're paying for.

Do you take on a site you didn't build?

Yes, after an audit. We look at the state of the code, the hosting and the backups, then tell you what can be taken on as is and what must be reworked first. That audit is the condition of a serious commitment on our part.

Is maintenance compulsory?

No. You remain free to manage your site yourself or hand it to someone else: the code and credentials belong to you. We simply recommend not leaving a site without security updates.

How often do you intervene?

Security updates are applied as soon as they're published when critical, otherwise during regular passes. Monitoring, on the other hand, is continuous: it's what triggers action on an incident, without waiting for you to report the problem.

How much does a maintenance contract cost?

The amount depends on the complexity of your site or application and the level of responsiveness you want. We draw up a quote after a review, and the contract sets out in black and white what is covered and what isn't.
